Writing Update 9/13/26

Started a chat on Substack. I wanted people to have a place to write comments on my fiction books/ podcast if they wanted to. I usually get around to going to Substack on Sundays. You are welcome. I posted Mind Master Chronicles: Labyrinth Chapter 10 part 2 podcast. I think it went well. I’ve done some typing and writing, but is it ever enough? ^_~ Oh, well. There’s always this week. I was in the hospital again; this time for six days with a recurrence of a C-diff infection. I’m back home again and did my podcast today.

My book Mind Master Chronicles: Butterfly was released on Tuesday, September 1st. I printed some more business cards with Vistaprint to commemorate the new book. Plus, I made some changes to the links including the link size. More typing was done today on Beginnings 2. I’m still trying to get more of my strength back.

My book Mind Master Chronicles: Butterfly is set to be released on Tuesday September 1st. I cleaned up some merge problems that occurred when Smashwords merged with Draft2Digital. My “Also by” page wasn’t listing all my books. Now it is. Thank you, Alicia.
Typing is going to be resuming on Contagion Phase: Beginnings 2 (temporary name). God willing. I plan for it to be my next release.
I’m planning on reaching out to libraries to tell them about my books. You can help by requesting one of my books from your local library or borrowing a digital copy if your local library already has one. I love libraries. I used to work as a shelver at one a long time ago.

Writing Update 8/16/26

I’m done with the editing of Mind Master Chronicles: Butterfly! I’ve submitted it to copyright and to Draft2Digital for publication — both eBook and print. It has been submitted for pre-order and will be released on Sept 1. Given my track record, I’m glad I made that deadline. The books will be released to a variety of bookstores and libraries. I always give the libraries a discount on the e-Books.

I’m on 105/ 150 Word pages with the editing of Butterfly. I do 5 pages/ 6 days a week most weeks. God willing I should be done by the Sept 1 deadline. Editing isn’t fun, but I’m getting through. I’ve also begun writing again. It’s much better to be well enough to get back to work. I plan to go back to the typing of Beginnings 2 once Butterfly is published, but you know how plans are.

Woke Constitutional Amendments to be Voted on in Virginia

These amendments remind me of the disastrous Prop 1 in New York in 2024. The amendments use broad and vague wording. The effect of the amendments reaches far beyond what it seems. The “Virginia Right to Reproductive Freedom Amendment” does not exclude the “fundamental right to reproductive freedom” based on age, thereby potentially nullifying statutory rape laws. https://www.dailysignal.com/2026/07/22/virginias-abortion-amendment-would-strike-down-statutory-rape-laws-warns-lawsuit-seeking-invalidate-deceptive-language/
I fear these amendments will be used to criminalize the dissent coming from Christianity and Judaism, leaving wokeism as the only allowable worldview in the eyes of the state. Wokeism may not be an official religion, but it operates as one. Adherents seem to believe that theirs is the only right and virtuous voice. And they once again appear to be hell-bent on silencing the opposition and possibly prosecuting them if they fail to buy-in.
