I’m getting over a cold. Fortunately, I didn’t lose my voice. I’m regaining some discipline in writing new books. It’s somewhat difficult to regain momentum after you’ve stopped for a while, but it’s getting easier. Thank you to those who read and/or buy my books! My book Mind Master Chronicles: Butterfly is set to be released on Tuesday September 1st. I cleaned up some merge problems that occurred when Smashwords merged with Draft2Digital. My “Also by” page wasn’t listing all my books. Now it is. Thank you, Alicia.
Typing is going to be resuming on Contagion Phase: Beginnings 2 (temporary name). God willing. I plan for it to be my next release.
I’m planning on reaching out to libraries to tell them about my books. You can help by requesting one of my books from your local library or borrowing a digital copy if your local library already has one. I love libraries. I used to work as a shelver at one a long time ago.

Writing Update 8/16/26
I’m done with the editing of Mind Master Chronicles: Butterfly! I’ve submitted it to copyright and to Draft2Digital for publication — both eBook and print. It has been submitted for pre-order and will be released on Sept 1. Given my track record, I’m glad I made that deadline. The books will be released to a variety of bookstores and libraries. I always give the libraries a discount on the e-Books.

12/28/25 writing update
I had a setback with Butterfly. When my computer broke, Butterfly was typed with Notepad. Notepad used to be format free. Now it has its own formatting and AI, which doesn’t match with Word. It caused a lot of formatting issues when I copied the text over, including disappearing text. So, Butterfly has to be retyped in Word. This will take at least 45 more sessions. I decided to go with calling it sessions since some days there is no typing — for example, when I have appointments. Right now I have my pre-order date set for July 1 on Draft2Digital.
I’ve decided Biosphere will remain Book 1. I figured it would be better to have the spin-off at the beginning than interrupting the three-part story arc.
I hate AI. It bothers me that Amazon is firing 14,000 employees in favor of AI. It also bothers me that their AI is infiltrating the Kindle functions, so I have unpublished my eBooks on Amazon. When I find the time, I’ll make a list of the places you can still buy my books. I know Amazon won’t notice my little protest, but at this point I don’t care. I’m also eliminating Kobo because of the AI. I also got rid of Apple awhile back because of AppleTV’s blasphemous episode on “Your Friends and Neighbors.” Apple is also moving forward with AI-narrated audio books.

I don’t have a problem with saying “Happy Holidays” referring to the holidays in December, but I’ve never heard so many advertisers go out of their way not to mention Christmas. We have a right to celebrate Christmas and the Jewish people have the right to celebrate Hanukkah. Just mention the specific holiday as well as the umbrella term, holidays. Though, the commercialism of the season isn’t the point of Christmas and Hanukkah, it bears reminding the advertisers that the spiritual meaning behind these celebrations inspired people to give gifts in the first place. And it also bears mentioning the meaning behind Christmas and Hanukkah is God.
Meanwhile, my e-books are free on the Smashwords sale. I’m thinking of making Contagion Phase 1: Biosphere into Book 3. Beginnings is really Book 1. I hadn’t planned on writing the third book, but right now Books 2-4 all go together, and Biosphere is more of a spin-off. But then, I’ll to see how hard it is to change it.
Meanwhile, the content editing (editing round 1 of 3) of Mind Master Chronicles: Butterfly is progressing, but it’s time consuming. I have to make sections I wrote out of order all flow together. Plus, I have to write sections to fill in the gaps. I do five pages at a time. It will take at least three months for it to be ready.

12/5/25 writing update
I added my e-books to the Smashwords sale. It begins on Dec 8. December is going pretty fast. Typing for Contagion Phase 3 is underway as of today. I’m making progress in editing and writing Mind Master Chronicles 5. I am content editing Mind Master Chronicles 4: Butterfly. I’m not even going to guess when it will be finished given my health issues this past year. But at least, with God’s help, I’ve had some productive days. I need to be a bit more disciplined with my writing.

11/30/25 writing update
It’s almost Christmas! It’s been a long time since I’ve seen so many ads for Christmas and Thanksgiving shown. Of course, most ads don’t mention Christmas. It’s holidays, seasonal, festive. Oh, well. At least they’re not too good for our money yet. That’s when you know you’re in real trouble.
The Smashwords End of the Year sale begins Dec. 8. I am adding more editing to my routine. I’m starting editing stage 2 on Butterfly and continuing typing/ editing stage 1 on Book 5. I’m still trying to establish a more consistent routine for the writing. The typing will soon begin on Contagion Phase 3, the true sequel to Beginnings with Becca, Derek and Patrick. It and Contagion Phase 4 have already been written.

The writing/ typing/ editing/ and proofreading are going well. I’m about a third of the way through the Contagion Phase 2: Beginnings final round of editing. Mind Master Chronicles 4: Butterfly is about a third of the way through typing/proofreading. Then, the three rounds of editing will begin. I’m trying to write a page in Contagion Phase 3 six days a week. It’s almost done and is ready for typing … as is Mind Master Chronicles 5: For the other four books, my goal is writing 3 pages per week.
I’m giving up my GoDaddy site since they’ve integrated AI into it. My domain name will eventually redirect here (WordPress).
